Paris, the 6th seal of the city, 1412. A cast of an impression on a document of 1412. The matrix was cut some years before. The inscription '(SIGILLV) M . MERCATORVM . (AQUE.) PARI(SIVS)' returns to Latin. Obverse: An early fifteenth century sailing vessel.
