Supreme Court of Admiralty, Great Seal, circa 1714

Supreme Court of Admiralty, Great Seal, circa 1714. It depicts an early eighteenth century, first rate with a spritsail topmast and a prancing horse figurehead. The Union Flag is flown on the spritsail topmast and the Admiralty flag at the fore, the Royal Standard at the main, the Union flag at the mizzen and an ensign at the stern. Inscription: 'SIGILLUM . MAGNUM . SUPREMAE . CURAE . ADMIRALITATIS . ANGLIAE'.
