Cast of a uniface commemorative medal. Vernon's bust, facing three-quarter left, in a coat and crevat, the end of which passes through a button hole in his coat. The mast of a ship left a ship right. Legend: 'VERNON . VINDEX PATRIAE.MDCCXLI' (Vernon, the avenger of his country, 1741).
