Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a commemorative medal. Obverse: The Duke's bust (right), hair long, in mantle round the shoulders. Legend: 'IACOBUS . DUX . EBORACENSIS . ET . ALBANENSIS.' (James Duke of York and Albany). Reverse: Ship (right) in distress off a high rocky lee shore; (left) a boat near the ship. Legend: 'IMPAVIDUM . FERIUNT.' (They strike him undismayed).
