Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a jeton de marine. Obverse: A shield with Montmorency arms, surmounted by crested helmet, surrounded by collars of the King's Orders. Upright anchor behind. Legend: 'CH DE . MONTMORENCY . SR . D . DAMPVILLE . ADMIRAL . D . FRANCE.' Reverse: A galley with a compass on the bowsprit, needle pointing at a star over which is a coronet. Legend: 'SIC . SEMPER . AD . VNVM'. Exergue: '1598'.
