Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a jeton de marine. Obverse: Shield with Montmorency arms, surmounted by a coronet and surrounded by the collars of the King's Orders. Placed on an upright anchor. Legend: 'H . D . DE . MONTMORENCY . P . ET . ADMIRAL . DE . FRANCE'. Reverse: A woman standing by the sea shore resting her left hand on an anchor, her right arm lifted towards the sun's rays. Legend: '*IN . DIES . MELIORA*' (Better from day to day). Exergue: '1621'.
