Two casts, obverse and reverse of a jeton des galeres. Obverse: A shield with Richelieu arms, surmounted by a coronet and placed on an anchor, the whole resting on a cloak lined with ermine. Legend: 'A . DE . RICHELIEV . DVC . P . GAL . D . GAL . LIEVTT . GAL . ES . MERS . DE . LEVT'. Reverse: Starboard-broadside view of a galley. On a streamer flying from the ensign staff: 'FOELICIOR.ARGO' (a more fortunate Argo). Legend: 'PRO VELLERE REGNUM' (a kingdom for the fleece). Below: '1648'. Refers to successful expedition against Naples in 1647-8.
