Obverse: Shield of arms of Louis Victor, Duc de Vivonne, surmounted by a coronet, placed on an upright anchor with four arms, and on two crossed batons, the whole resting on a cloak lined with ermine. Legend: 'LE . DVC . DE . VIVONNE . MAL . DE . FRAN . GENAL . DES . GALERES'. Reverse: Rain and lightning issuing from clouds. Legend: 'MEDIIS . LETHALIS . INVNDIS.' (death dealing in the midst of waves). Exergue: '1686'.
