On the right hand side of the frame is the Union flag with the British White ensign on the left hand side. Carved at the bottom are the words "CHINA. JAPAN 1897. 1900". Carved at the top of the frame are the words "H.M.S. CENTURION". Photograph is of Rodney Hastings John Munday, the father of the donor.
