Unidentified Greenwich Pensioner
An ambrotype (also known as wet collodion positive) sixth plate size photographic miniature. A hand-tinted portrait of an unidentified Greenwich Pensioner seated in a tricorn hat, coat, shirt with a necktie. The edging on his hat, bands on his coat cuffs and buttons have been picked out in gold. The sitter holds a cane in his left hand.
The miniature has a gold-coloured textured mount with an oval aperture. The frame is made from metal and is textured. At the back of the miniature is a rectangle of cream-coloured card.
