Stoker Petty Officer Arthur John Pollard, Royal Navy

A framed photographic print. A full length portrait photograph of Arthur John Pollard, with the rank of a Stoker Petty Officer. He is standing with his right hand resting on a stone plinth and his left hand on his hip. His right leg is crossed over his left, with his right foot resting on the toes. Pollard is in his dress uniform with his cap at a slightly jaunty angle on his head. On his right arm is the insignia of a stoker and on his left arm are two Good Conduct stripes below his Petty Officer insignia. On his buttoned-up jacket he has his medal ribbons as well as the 1914-15 Star medal. The background is a studio scene set of a door, bay window and flowers in a flowerbed.

The print is mounted behind an oval inner frame, which is surrounded by a cream and gold mount, possibly made of textile. The metal photo frame is missing the stand at the back, has two round feet at the front and has decorative pierced work at the top. The back of the frame is covered in a red textile.
