Reverse: Urn on pedestal with relief of boat under sail. Inscribed on base: 'DEN . VII D . MDCCLXXXI.' Legend: 'TEGITUR CAELO QUI NON HABET URNAM' (The sky roofs his bones who has no urn). Exergue: 'AMICO SUO CARISSIMO D . A . F . MOLTKE.' Wedell drowned in a boat capsize. Medal struck by his cousin A. F. Moltke.
