Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a commemorative medalet. Obverse: Victory holding a flaming sword and a wreath. Legend: 'GOT SEGNETE UNSERE TAPFEREN HEERE'. (God has blessed our brave hosts). Reverse: 'BESCHIESSUNG VON PHILIPPEVILLE UND BONE DURCH DIE KREUZER GOBEN UND BRESLAU D. 4.AUG.1914.' (Bombardment of Philippeville and Bona by the cruisers 'Göben' and 'Breslau'.
