Medal cast
Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a commemorative medal. Obverse: Bust of Admiral von Spee (centre) and the two counts Henry and Otto on either side behind in uniform (all three-quarter right). Legend: 'DREI HELDEN ZUR SEE.' (Three heroes at sea.) Exergue: 'ADMIRAL GRAF v. SPEE GRAF OTTO GRAF HEINRICH.' (Admiral Count von Spee, Count Otto, Count Henry). Reverse: Three seagulls flying over the sea against a background of clouds, sun rays behind (left) and date below. Below, right: 'VERL BALL BERLIN.' Exergue: '8 . 12 . 1914.'
