Reverse: an anchor wreathed with laurel upon a cross, crowned, with ribbons. Legend: 'EHR UND RUHM ZIERET DEUTSCHES HELDENTUM.' (Honour and glory adorns German heroism.) In the field: (left) '8 DEZ.'; (right) '1914.'
