Legend: 'FREGGATEN-KAPITÄN VON MÜLLER.' Reverse: Starboard view of S.M.S. 'Emden'; the arms of City below. Legend: ': . EINE . NEUE . STÄRKERE . EMDEN . WIRD . ERSTEHEN . W . I . R .' (A new stronger 'Emden' will arise. William, Imperator, Rex.) Telegram from the Emperor to the Mayor of Emden, when the ship's loss was announced. Exergue: '1914'.
