Chinese visiting card
Red Chinese visiting card. Visiting cards of two Chinese naval officers with their names written on two pieces of Chinese red paper. This one belonged to Ding Ruchang (Admiral Ting). Associated with the two visiting cards is a a piece of European red paper with a watermark which might be useful for dating, and a red envelope marked with 'Southwood, 90 Regent Street W.' A note attached to the two items indicates that the visiting cards were left at the Penang Club in 1894. [May Bo Ching].
