John Holland, seal of office, 1435-42. It depicts a fifteenth century sailing vessel. The sail of the ship bears the arms of the Holland family, England and a bordure of France. At the stern, a banner indented per pale, and aft of this an admiral's lantern on a staff. First seal as Admiral of England, Ireland and Acquitaine.
