Leny (1889); Cargo vessel
Scale: 1:8. A model of the accommodation layout of the forecastle of Leny (1889). The model is made in wood, metal, plastic and other materials and is painted in realistic colours. The forecastle bulkhead is cut away in three places and there is a door on the starboard side. The forecastle deck is not shown but a companion way leading from the deck to the accommodation area is depicted. Fittings and equipment include barrels, tools, rigging, bedding, lanterns, and furniture. The model depicts living quarters for the eight seamen (port side) and eight firemen (starboard side). The model shows the living areas for the boys, carpenters, cooks, and depicts the bosun's forecastle cabins, together with the head, wash room, lamp room, and store. The model is wired for illumination.
