Thanet
Scale: Unknown. A contemporary half block model of the Thanet (1914), a racing cruiser type yacht. The wooden hull is made from horizontal planks in bread and butter fashion and is painted a sky blue with white topsides, separated by a thin black line along the waterline. The curved bow runs aft at a slight angle with a concave edge towards the almost horizontal keel. The angled sternpost id fitted with a half elliptical-shaped rudder underneath a long overhanging counter stern.It is mounted on a polished rectangular shaped mahogany backboard with a beaded edge.
