Creole

Scale: 1:24. A contemporary half block model of the racing cutter yacht Creole(1890). The wooden hull is constructed in bread and butter fashion using horizontal planks. It is painted a metallic bronze colour below the waterline with black topsides above. The flush deck has a pronounced sheer with a clipper bow which runs down in a long shallow angle to the keel. The angled stern post is fitted with a rudder under a long overhanging counter stern. The whole model is mounted on a varnished wooden rectangular backboard with a moulded edge. on which is inscribed "No 81 Composite racing cutter yacht (Creole) Dimensions 58'-8" on LWL x 13'-2" ex 14'-8". Scale 1/2" I foot". CA: BAC.
