Scale: 1:24. A contemporary half block model of the racing yacht Istria(1912). The hull is constructed wooden planks in bread and butter fashion and is painted a metallic copper below the waterline with white topsides above to the level of the deck. It has a relatively flat sheer with a spoon bow running aft and down towards the angled keel. The raking sternpost is fitted with a half-elliptical-shaped rudder underneath a long and tapering counter stern. The whole model is mounted on a rectangular-shaped mahogany backboard with rounded corners and moulded edging.
