Napkin commemorating the opening of Tower Bridge. Inscribed in black "TO COMMEMORATE THE OPENING/ OF THE/ TOWER BRIDGE/ BY THE/ PRINCE & PRINCESS OF WALES/ Accompanied the Princesses Victoria and Maud, the Duke of Your,/ and the great officers of state, in the name of the Queen,/ On Saturday, June 30th 1894. First opened to the public on Monday,/ July 9th, at 5am." In the centre are black line portraits of the Prince and Princess with an image of Tower Bridges in the centre. The inscription then continues, describing the bridge "Total length of Bridge and Abutments 940 ft. Total length of/ Bridge and Approaches 2640ft./ Opening Span, Width 200ft.....Total Cost of Bridge defrayed by City Corporation One Million Sterling." Faded red/brown decoration around the edges.
