Warship; Third rate; 74 guns
Scale: unknown. A full hull model of a two-decker ship of the line (circa 1800). The model is decked and rigged. The rigging has been restored. This is a rather vague prisoner of war model of an unidentified type of two-decker. It has the usual features of such models, including a large ‘steeve’ or angle of the bowsprit and inaccurate shape of the hull. It is possibly intended to be a ship of 60 guns, though these were rare by the time prisoner of war models became common.
