A slightly distant starboard bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Stratheden (1937) at anchor in an unknown Mediterranean location. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has accommodation ladders rigged amidships and aft with one of her boats alongside the aft ladder. Motor lifeboats 5 and 15 have been launched. The photographer is in one of her moto lifeboats heading away from the ship and a lascar seaman is standing in the stern of the boat. A vertical format negative.
