A line of thirteen Lascar seamen assembled for lifeboat drill aboard a Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship of the Ranpura (1925) class.
A line of thirteen Lascar seamen assembled for lifeboat drill aboard a Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship of the Ranpura (1925) class. They are all wearing Board of Trade standard life jackets. This negative was originally identified by the Marine Photo Service as being on board the Viceroy of India (1929) but the number R.202 on the negative indicates that this is on board one of Ranpura (1925), Ranchi (1925), Rawalpindi (1925) or Rajputana (1925).
