Scale: 1:48. A contemporary half block model of the Merle (1863), a cargo barque (sugar carrier). Model is decked. Backboard inscribed "Iron barque "Merle" 315 tons 133 x 25.3 x 14.4 Built in 1863 by Messrs Westwood Baillie & Co. Isle of Dogs, for the West India sugar trade" and "Presented to Lloyd's Register Society by Messrs Tatham Bromage & Co".
