HMS Viper (1865); Fighting vessel; Gunboat; 2 guns
Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the port side of HMS Viper' (1865), made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted to resemble weathered copper below the waterline and black above. The lower part of the bow protrudes. Fittings include four stump masts and three square apertures amidships, which may all be gunports. The model is displayed on a backboard painted off-white with a mahogany-stained frame with bevelled edge. On bottom section of frame: ‘(27)’. There is an accompanying typewritten label.
