Bengal (1868); Cargo vessel; Ship

Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the starboard side of the three-masted cargo ship 'Bengal' (1868), made entirely in wood, painted and polished. The hull is polished wood below the waterline and black above. The hull has a clipper bow. Fittings include figurehead and decorated trail boards, a stump bowsprit, foremast, mainmast and mizzen mast, rudder, and stern gallery windows. There is a forecastle and poop. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden backboard with bevelled edges. On starboard bow ‘Bengal’.
