Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the starboard side of the composite screw gun vessels HMS Frolic (1872), HMS Rifleman (1872), HMS Ready (1872) and HMS Kestrel (1872) made entirely in wood, painted ochre overall and marked for plating and indicating principal hull fittings. The plating lines are finely scribed in black penwork. Fittings include a stump bowsprit, foremast (currently missing), mainmast and mizzen mast, and rudder. On plaque applied to backboard ‘Frolic, Rifleman, Ready, Kestrel‘. On plaques ‘Frolic composite gunboat floated out 29-2-72‘, ‘Kestrel composite gunboat floated out 29-2-72‘ and ‘Ready composite gunboat launched 24-2-72‘.
