Fishing vessel
Scale: Unknown. A half block design model of the starboard side of a sailing fishing vessel (1877) made entirely in wood, stained and polished a dark brown finish. The hull is made from six lateral lengths of wood with a separate stem post, keel and stern post. It has a transom stern. The model is displayed on a distressed rectangular wooden baseboard, painted matt black. On cardboard label pinned to backboard ‘Model of the fishing vessel built at Barton on Humber in 1877 by the late Alfred J Boyce, apprentice to Fredrickson and Fawcett. Presented to the National Maritime Museum by Mr F Sanderson of Fleetgate, Barton on Humber’.
