Recreation vessel; Yacht

Scale: 1:24. A full hull model of a yacht made entirely in wood with wood and metal fittings and painted in realistic colours. The hull is coppered which has been distressed below the waterline and painted black above with unpainted gunwales. Hull details include a clipper bow, stump bowsprit, rudder and two sets of channels complete with deadeyes. The entire deck is removable and its fittings include stump foremast and mainmast; three glazed skylights; and two glazed companion hatch covers. When the deck is removed the model shows all deck beams, painted off-white; companion ways; forecastle; bulkheads; cabins; entry ports and corridors; main living areas; principal items of furniture such as wash stands and cots; principal hull frames; lower deck floors with cutaway sections and apertures to accommodate the masts.
