HMS Rodney (1884); Warship; Battleship; 10 guns

Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the starboard side of the battleship HMS Rodney (1884), made entirely in wood and painted dark brown below the waterline, a narrow white stripe above and black above the waterline. The paint has an overall distressed patina. Hull details include a ram bow, rudder and starboard propeller shaft housing and mounting. Other features and fittings include superstructure placed amidships with a gun turret placed fore and abaft of it, and two funnels (missing). The model is displayed on a rectangular backboard unevenly painted white. Hand-rendered on plaque attached to bulwark in centre of model ‘Rodney Battleship Launched 8.10.84’. On bottom right-hand corner of backboard ‘Rodney’.
