HMS Bellona (1890); Warship; Cruiser; Third class cruiser
Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the starboard side of the third class cruiser HMS Bellona (1890), made entirely in wood and painted pink-brown below the waterline, a narrow white stripe above and black above the waterline. Hull details include starboard hawse hole and a balanced rudder. Other features and fittings include a foredeck with wave deflector and stump foremast; main deck with two stump funnels with two ventilators, all painted ochre, and stump mainmast; and aft deck with stump mizzen and small gun. The model is displayed on a backboard painted off-white with a mahogany-stained frame. Inscribed on a plaque attached to top right-hand side of backboard is the name ‘Bellona’.
