Cargo vessel; Barge; Thames barge
Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the port side of a Thames barge (circa 1890), made entirely in wood and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted grey, including the lee board an rudder, with a black strake and white gunwale. The gunwale has a number of rectangular apertures along its length. Deck fittings include two hatches, a smaller one forward, both painted dark pink and what might be a companion hatch at the stern. The model is displayed on a rectangular mahogany backboard.
