Scale: 1:48. A full hull model of the steam yacht Princess Alice (1891), made entirely in wood with wood, metal and organic material fittings and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted to simulate coppering below the waterline and white above. Hull features include a clipper bow with decorative work in gold; single strake, painted gold; single row of portholes; and two-bladed propeller. The depicted vessel is fully rigged as a barquentine (check) on its three masts. The masts and booms are unpainted wood, while the three yards on the foremast, bowsprit and jib-boom are white. Other features include anchors stowed at the bow; long white-painted deckhouse with black penwork details; three boats on the port side and two boats on the starboard side, of various types, all with white hulls and stowed on davits; single tall funnel, painted white; and wheel at the stern. The model is mounted on a pair of modern tubular metal supports.
