Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the port side of the second class battleship HMS Centurion (1892), made entirely in wood and painted brown below the waterline, a narrow white stripe above and black above the. Hull details include a ram bow; recessed section at the bow for anchor stowage; two rows of portholes; two gun placements fore and aft of amidships; stern gallery; rudder; and port propeller shaft casing and support frame. Other fittings include stump foremast and mainmast; two gun turrets fore and aft, both painted off-white; fore bridge with entry port; single stump funnel, the top painted ochre. The model is displayed on a backboard painted off-white with a mahogany-stained frame (right-hand edge missing). On plaque attached to top left-hand side of backboard ‘Centurion’.
