Favell (1895); Cargo vessel; Barque
Scale: Approx 1:384. Waterline model of the Favell (1895), a three-masted barque. The model is scenic, decked, equipped and rigged, with sails set. The hull is painted brown below the waterline with off-white topside and superstructure, with naturally varnished wood decks and spars. The sails are made of paper and are set underway and are full of wind. On deck it is equipped with anchor handling equipment, two pairs of boats rigged on davits and chocks, two large deck houses, and a ship's wheel with two binnacles on deck at the stern. The whole model is set in a painted plaster sea base on a black polished moulded baseboard with a black paper edged glass top. There is a small cream coloured plastic label pinned to the base inscribed "Favell".
