Ingrid(1907); Cargo vessel; Schooner
Scale: not calculated. Quite a clinical-looking model with its stark black and white hull, starched-looking signal flags and absence of sails. Everything has been precisely made and is in its correct place.
‘Ingrid’ (1907) was a three-masted schooner with a long history. The model flies a Russian flag because, prior to 1919, Finland was a part of Russia. In 1920 ‘Ingrid’ was sold and her new British owner fitted an oil engine. Under the name of ‘Rigdin’ it had a number of further owners and was broken up in 1952.
