HMS Boadicea (1908); Warship; Cruiser; Scout cruiser

Scale: 1:48. A half block model of the starboard side of the scout cruiser HMS Boadicea (1908), made entirely in wood and painted pink-brown below the waterline and black above the waterline. Hull features include two intermittent rows of portholes; starboard bilge keel; and a balanced rudder. Other features and fittings include a long fore deck with a replacement small gun mounted on it, and bridge house; four funnels inline, all painted ochre, mounted on two separate grey-coloured superstructures, funnels one and four being slightly slimmer than funnels two and three; two replacement small guns on the starboard side amidships, and a black-painted torpedo launcher; and small grey-painted fittings aft. The model is displayed on a backboard painted off-white with a mahogany-stained frame. On plaque attached to top right-hand side of backboard ‘Boadicea’.
