Tui Cakua (1933); Cargo vessel; Coastal vessel
Scale: 1:24. A half plating model of the starboard side of the coastal motor vessel Tui Cakua (1933) made entirely in wood and varnished. The hull is inscribed in black ink plating positions, scuppers, propeller cavity and a number of other features. Hull features include a forecastle with circular scuppers in the bulwark and rectangular scuppers on the main deck. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden backboard with angled bevelled edges. Hand rendered in centre top of backboard ‘Motor Driven vessel’. Hand rendered on right-hand side of backboard ‘Principal Dimensions Length OA 90'-0" Length B.P. 857-0" Breadth Mld 19'-0" Depth Mld 8'-0" Yard No 252 C/5430/W Scale 1/2" -1 Foot’.
