Arcwear (1934); Passenger/cargo vessel
Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the starboard side of the passenger/cargo ship Arcwear (1934), made entirely in wood and painted off-white. The depicted vessel is a three-island configuration with a rectangular-shaped rudder and provision for a single propeller. The model is displayed on a rectangular mahogany backboard. Hand rendered on top left-hand corner of backboard ‘Length B.P. 360'-0" Beam Extreme 57'-6" Depth Moulded 26'-9" ’. Hand rendered on top centre of backboard ‘SS "Archwear" Built by Short Brothers, Limited, Sunderland’. Hand rendered on top right-hand corner of backboard ‘Isherwood "Arcform” Design’.
