Rangoon (1934); Service vessel; Lightship
Scale: Unknown. A half hull plating model of the port side of the lightship Rangoon (1934), made entirely in wood, varnished and inscribed in black ink. The depicted vessel is short, wide beamed and double-ended. Inscribed features include bulkheads, plates and the port bilge keel. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden backboard with angled bevelled edges. Hand rendered on right-hand side of backboard is ‘Steel Lightship for Bahrein Harbour Principal Dimensions Length O.A 70'-0" Breadth Mld 27'-0" Depth Mld 13'-6" Draught Mean 6'-6". Yard No 295. C/6300/W. Scale 1/2" to 1 Foot’ and ‘Rangoon Lightship’ (barely visable).
