Everything about the trawler, and indeed the model, is solid and robust. The pair of wales that girdle the entire hull have been further reinforced with vertical sections between them; the derrick crane is a simple, straightforward affair located directly forward of the single square hatch cover; even the bow fender is large and resilient.
