Service vessel; Dredger; Grab dredger

Scale: Unknown. A half block plating model of a grab dredger made entirely in wood with black inscribed markings and varnished a golden brown finish. The hull is double-ended, straight-sided and flat-bottomed with a shallow angle to the stem and stern. Markings consist of regularly spaced vertical and horizontal lines and a number of hand-rendered numerals and letters. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden backboard with straight bevelled edges of a similar colour and finish to the model itself. Hand-rendered in black ink on bottom centre of backboard ‘Priestmans Grab dredger hull Job No C/8340/W Yard No 677’. Hand-rendered in black ink on right-hand side of backboard ‘Principal dimensions Length BP 70'-0" Breadth MLD 26'-0" Depth MLD 5'-9" ’.
