Lord Warden (1952); Passenger vessel; Ferry
Scale: Unknown. A model of the starboard side of Lord Warden (1952) made entirely in wood and varnished. The hull is marked to show individual plates, decks, portholes, and other features. The superstructure is long and placed amidships and is marked by a long row of square port holes. The forecastle and foredeck, together with the aft deck, are devoid of detail. A long strake runs almost the entire length of the hull and there are two short strakes above it near the bow. There are two blacked-out areas indicating the anchor stowage and propeller shaft recess. The model is displayed on a plywood backboard. There is a label which reads: 'Lord Warden ferry T.W.D. Abell Dock Marine Manager British Railways Dover from William Denny and Brothers Ltd Leven Shipyard Dumbarton'.
