Service vessel; Crane scow

Scale: 1:48. A plating design half block model of a crane scow made from a solid piece of timber and varnished. It has a flush top deck with upturn ends at the bow and stern with a small fixed rudder on the other side of the stern (damaged). The model has been marked in black ink illustrating the layout of the frames, hull plates, internal bulkheads, oil tanks, manhole covers and reinforced deck beams required for supporting the crane. The model is mounted on a softwood backboard in its natural state and varnished with an angular edging.
