A raised companionway is mounted to the top of the main deck longitudinal pipework connecting the bridge and aft superstructures. There are three derricks amidships, one on the port side and two starboard. The bridge superstructure is low with a pair of wide bridge wings surmounted by a communications mast. There are two lifeboats each stowed on the bridge and aft superstructures. The aft superstructure is surmounted by a single funnel painted pale pink with a black top with a company logo of a red circle and black vertical line. Inscribed on the port and starboard bows is: 'Idemitsu Maru. On the stern is inscribed: 'Idemitsu Maru Tokyo'.
