Admiral’s Barge (1830); Small craft
Scale: 1:24. A contemporary full hull model of an admiral’s barge (1830) mounted on its original wooden baseboard. It is complete with set of eight oars and a boathook, whilst internally the seatback is decorated with an embossed coat of arms. The dark-blue hull has a white ensign painted on either side of the bow and has the rudder and metal tiller-rigged to the transom. These barges were for the use of admirals and senior officers and would be used for transporting them to and from the shore or between ships at anchor.
