Service vessel; Barge; Royal Naval barge

Scale: Unknown. A full hull model of a Royal Naval barge made entirely in mahogany and mostly varnished or polished. The carvel hull has a centreboard, or sliding keel, and provision for a rudder (currently missing). Other fittings include six thwarts, provision for 12 oars and a seat at the stern. The inboard bulwarks are painted green. The model is mounted on a pair of platted brass wire supports and displayed on a rectangular mahogany baseboard with straight bevelled edges. On a paper label applied to the baseboard is the number ‘10’
